MEET Kelina Menard

BASKETBALL COACH

Kelina Menard’s journey in basketball began in New York, where she developed a deep passion for the game while competing in AAU basketball leagues in New Jersey. Her love for both sports and education led her to St. Thomas Aquinas College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies. Today, Kelina combines her roles as a teacher and assistant basketball coach to inspire and guide students, both in the classroom and on the court.

Deciding to play basketball was a pivotal moment in Kelina’s life. The sport became not only a vital outlet but also a source of incredible opportunities that continue to impact her as an adult. Competing with older age groups and adapting to diverse playing environments helped her develop resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic—qualities she now instills in her players.

As a coach, Kelina is passionate about sharing her knowledge, life lessons, and love for the game with younger generations. She is dedicated to helping athletes navigate challenges, grow as individuals, and create opportunities through basketball, just as the game has done for her.
