Street Ballers is an elite 16U girls basketball team, proudly part of the Gym Ratz AAU Basketball Program. Designed for highly driven athletes, this team provides unmatched opportunities to showcase talent on some of the nation’s most competitive stages, including NCAA certified and Select Events.
OUR MISSION
The Street Ballers Program, part of the Gym Ratz Basketball Club, is dedicated to the growth and success of elite youth basketball players. Our mission is to provide a platform for young athletes to develop their skills at the highest level while fostering essential life lessons and core values such as character, teamwork, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. Through our program, we aim to prepare players not just for competition, but for lifelong success both on and off the court.

TRYOUT INFO:
Dates: March 15 & March 16
Time: 3:00-5:00 PM both days
Location: ALL TRYOUTS WILL BE AT DOWN TOWN SPORTS CLUB, MAHWAH
All Players Must Pre-Register Online for Tryouts ($25 fee).

PROGRAM DETAILS:
Head Coach: Danny Brown, a seasoned leader in basketball development and competitive play.
Season Dates: March 17 – July 25, 2025
Commitment:
- 18 weeks of intensive training and competition
- 75+ hours of elite college-level training
- Participation in 40+ games and 10+ tournaments across NCAA-certified events and circuits

Danny Brown brings a wealth of coaching experience and a proven track record of success to the Street Ballers team. While leading the Girls Basketball program at Saddle River Day School, he achieved remarkable accomplishments, including:
- 2018 New Jersey Coach of the Year (NJ.com)
- 2018 USA TODAY New Jersey Coach of the Year
- 3x State Group Champion (2018, 2019, 2020)
- 6x State Sectional Champion (2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022)
- 7x Bergen County Champion (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023)
Danny also coached Varisty Girls Basketball at Teaneck and Cresskill High Schools, where he further cemented his reputation as a leader in player development and team success. His experience, knowledge, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to the Street Ballers program.
